BEN Shrewry’s What a Wonderful World, WAW event took place over the weekend of 4/5th October. Shewry says. “I’d like this gathering to be a time when people can check out for a moment; stop, talk and take their bearings and think about what we’re all doing, whether it’s as chefs, winemakers, diners, or whatever it is we do.”
It was a free event but bookings were essential and it culminated in a ten course lunch prepared by 30 exceptional chefs, the profits will go to Helping Hoops, a charity that teaches life-skills to underprivileged children through basketball.
Shrewry is the internationally renowned Kiwi chef of Attica and has been honoured to be in the top 50 restaurants in the world for two years running. Attica first made the list in 2010.
He has been a champion of indigenous, wild, heirloom and foraged foods.
