A Sicilian Story 1

Terra Madre Day is Slow Food’s annual day to promote the diversity of food traditions and production, and show how our network is using its creativity and knowledge to express our love for the planet and defend the future for the next generations.

This year we will celebrate Terra Madre Day with our final event for the year “A SICILAN STORY ” on Monday December 12th.

Rosa Miceu was born and raised in Sicily, migrated to Australia as a young woman and now, with her husband, has a stall at the Palmyra Farmer’s Markets each Sunday morning selling their produce from fresh fruit and vegetables to home made sauces, jams and biscuits.

Come and listen to Rosa’s own story, including her tips for cooking Zucchini flowers to drying figs, taste her wares while enjoying a glass of wine with some local pizza.

A door prize will be given during the session.

We look forward to seeing you soon and sharing in this event.

Kind regards
Margaret MacFie (Perth Convivium Leader)
