Slow Food greeting cards. Perth convivium benefits from the sale of three-image sets of ‘real food’ greeting cards produced by Kojonup farmer, photographer and Slow Food Perth member Wendy Thorn. The blank cards – which carry the Slow Food snail logo – feature a Boyanup friesian cow, Heather Carrington-Jones’ farm geese and goslings, and a very fine hen with a ‘choirboy ruff’ on its nest in Wendy’s chookhouse at Nookanellup. The back of each card shows the Slow Food Perth logo, a brief description of Slow Food’s work, and our website address. The cards are matt-finished, measure 140mm x 140mm and are delivered with envelopes in clear cellophane sleeves.

‘I love Slow Food’ sticker. Slow Food Perth co-leader Pauline Tresise first saw window stickers proclaiming support for Slow Food in Sicily in 2006. She has since seen them in stores, on doors, in windows and on cars throughout Italy. Slow Food Perth has produced the same sticker showing our website address. The sticker measures 190mm x 125mm and is a reverse adhesive – you place it on glass from the inside.

The Food Lovers’ Guide to Perth. Slow Food Perth has available limited copies of Julie Mews’ and Lisa Hummel-Robson’s second edition of The Food Lovers’ Guide to Perth. Described by The Weekend Australian as ‘a goldmine of information’, the 368-page second edition published late in 2009 contains 79 new entries, including the latest on Perth region farmers’ markets, adding to Julie and Lisa’s independent assessments of the places to buy the best of Perth’s food. It lists bakers, gourmet cafes, fishmongers, grocers, patisseries, chocolatiers, butchers and smallgoods’ makers.
